Prince Albert of Monaco at the ChangeNOW World Summit in Paris

The ChangeNOW World Summit, held annually in Paris, brings together business leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators to address some of the world’s most pressing environmental and social challenges. Hosted at the iconic Grand Palais, the event offers visitors the opportunity to attend conferences or simply explore the exhibition space, engaging with exhibitors and discovering new initiatives. The program also includes an art exhibition, dedicated activities for children, and a job fair focused on careers in social impact.

Closing the first day of the summit, which took place from March 30 to April 1, 2026, His Serene Highness Albert II of Monaco delivered a speech marked by both scientific realism and economic optimism. He framed the environmental crisis not as a distant or hypothetical threat, but as an ongoing transformation already underway.

“We are no longer standing at the edge of the precipice. We have already crossed it,” the Prince stated. “The question now is whether we will build wings on the way down. I believe we can—and many of you here are already doing so.”

In his address, he emphasized the alarming state of environmental protection and the urgency of coordinated global action. Following his speech, Prince Albert II visited the ChangeNOW 2026 exhibition, where he explored a wide range of promising innovations across key sectors, including biodiversity, behavioural change, the circular economy, urban development, education, energy, fashion, food and agriculture, health, inclusion, mobility, and the protection of oceans and water resources.

Throughout the day, a strong sense of momentum was evident. As the Prince noted, the environmental diagnosis is now widely understood and increasingly difficult to ignore.

In this context, the Princess Camilla of Bourbon Charitable Foundation, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Camilla of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, affirms that the transition is no longer merely hypothetical. Rather, it is a concrete and ongoing process in which solutions are being designed, financed, and implemented every day—although much work still remains to be done.
